Welcome to WiseMom. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how WiseMom ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, safely stores, and protects your information when you use the WiseMom application (the "App").
1. Data Controller

2. Information We Collect
To provide our services, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account Data: If you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and basic authentication data via secure providers.
- Health & Pregnancy Data: Information you voluntarily input to track your pregnancy, which may include physical symptoms, mood, weight, fetal activity (kicks), medical appointments, and ultrasound data. This is classified as sensitive data under GDPR.
- Usage & Device Data: We collect non-identifiable telemetry, such as your device model, operating system, and how you interact with the App.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process your data under the following lawful bases:
- Explicit Consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR): For any health-related data you enter in the app. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account.
- Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To manage your account and process premium subscriptions.
- Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To analyze crashes, ensure security, and improve app functionality.
4. Third-Party Services & Analytics
We do not sell your personal or health data to third parties. We use trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate the App:
- Firebase (by Google): We use Firebase Authentication to securely manage your login, Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability, and Firebase Analytics to understand user engagement. These services may process device identifiers and usage data securely.
- Payment Processors: If you purchase a premium subscription, your payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your credit card information.
5. Data Retention and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption algorithms both in transit and at rest. We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the services. Once you delete your account, your personal and health data is permanently suppressed and erased from our active databases.
6. Your Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure / Deletion: Request deletion of your personal and health data entirely.
- Data Portability: Request to export your data in a structured format.
- Withdraw Consent: At any time for data you voluntarily provided.

7. Children's Privacy
WiseMom is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without verifiable parental consent.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App.
